11th Annual 5K/1M Walk hosted by NMC in Albany June 8th

The Northwest Medical Center in Albany will host their 11th annual fundraising 5K and 1 Mile walk or run this Saturday, June 8th at the Albany Firehouse. This year's 5K is being held to celebrate the success of the hospital's Tri-Learn-Athon program. Customer Relationship Coordinator for the Northwest Medical Center, Anna Lorenz, says the event is a great way to support the Tri-Learn-Athon.

"All the proceeds go to the Tri-Learn-Athon program that we have here in Albany, Jefferson, and Stanberry - the school districts.  Throughout the year, the students are challenged to try to do 26 good deeds, run 26 miles, and also read 26 books during the school year."

Breakfast, entertainment, and an award ceremony will be provided following the race. The Northwest Medical Center will also accept sponsorship donations for this event in the form of cash, bottled water, or time by volunteering.
