President approves disaster declaration for 13 MO counties

President Trump has approved a request from Missouri Governor Mike Parson for a major disaster declaration to help local governments and nonprofit agencies in 13 counties recover from flooding and severe storms that took place from March 11th to April 16th.  Counties approved for federal assistance include Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Holt and Platte in northwest Missouri.  The federal assistant will help repair damaged roads, bridges and other public infrastructure, along with emergency response costs associated with the storms and flooding.
