Jefferson C-123 Board discussed tax collections & calendar

The Jefferson C-123 Board of Education met in regular session late last month. Superintendent Tim Jermain presented information on current tax collections.

"During my report, we talked about an update on local tax collection.  And at this point we've collected almost 95% of our current tax money which is historically right on target as far as budgeted amount."

Jermain said the council also approved amendments to the 2018-19 school calendar.

"We amended our calendar to account for the three snow days that we have not set as far as make-up days.  And we did add three more days to the end of school."

Other items on the agenda included discussion of health insurance renewal and contracts for non-tenured teachers. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, April 16th at 8 p.m.
