Chillicothe City Council welcomes new mayor and councilman

The Chillicothe City Council formally accepted the results of last week's election at its meeting Monday.
City Administrator Darin Chappell says the results brought two new faces to the council that are set to be sworn in later today.

"We have a new mayor that'll be sworn into office on Wednesday at noon.  Her name is Teresa Kelly.   She was the City Auditor for 24 years prior to this election.  And we have a new councilman from our 3rd ward, Michael Smith, and he will also be sworn in on Wednesday.  The remainder of the council was the same."

The council also passed an ordinance regarding safe agricultural spraying near the Chillicothe Airport.
