St. Francis Hospital Foundation vital to hospital

Monetary donations from the Saint Francis Hospital Foundation to SSM Health Saint Francis Hospital have been vital to the hospital in 2018. Community Relations and Development Manager Rita Miller says the hospital has received over 230 thousand dollars from the foundation this past year.

"The donations that come in to the Foundation have made it possible for several departments to acquire some equipment that they may not otherwise be able to purchase because of that financial support from the Foundation."

Purchases this year include a patient lift chair, O-B syringe pumps, ultrasound machines and a digital x-ray unit. The Foundation also provided financial backing for the completion of the Preschool and Child Care Center which opened in August.
Miller says there's still time to make a charitable contribution to the Saint Francis Hospital Foundation before the end of the year.

"The end of the year is always the time when people are looking at their tax considerations and just helping out others during the holiday season.  It's always a time of giving.  And so we're hoping that people consider what their support has created here at the hospital so we can continue to serve our patients and residents in the region."

Miller says anyone wanting more information on how to contribute to the Saint Francis Hospital Foundation can contact her office.
