The first United Methodist Church of Maryville is sponsoring rides to the polls today.
Coordinator for the rides, Nina Dewhirst, says she is the person to contact to get a ride to the polls.
"Voting is from 6 o'clock a.m. to 7 p.m., so we'll have shifts of people who have volunteered to be drivers. Actually, voters need to call and tell us when would be a convenient time because they might have a time when they need to be picked up and we would just arrange it. So their first line is to simply call me and we would arrange for someone to be able to pick that person up, take him/her to the polls and then deliver that person back home after voting."
To set up a time to be taken to the polls call Nina Dewhirst at 660-582-8916.
