A Maryville downtown revitalization project began yesterday morning. Maryville City Manager Greg McDanel says improvements to the front of the former Looks storefront are underway.
"This year the city of Maryville has made downtown improvement, say, a priority in our strategic planning process. So we're working with property owners right now to identify some improvements to their facilities. We've been able to partner with the property owners of the former Looks building. And so we've been partnering with them to remove the tint exterior and rehab the brick front and bring back the character of the original facade."
McDanel says the city is also working with other property owners downtown on improvements that can be made to their store fronts as well.
