For the seventh consecutive year, Northwest is named a Military Friendly School

Northwest Missouri State University has been named a Military Friendly School for the seventh consecutive year.
The designation comes from Victory Media, a media entity for military personnel who are transitioning to civilian life. The designation of military friendly school is determined by school and student survey data along with the institution's ability to meet guidelines for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, degree advancement and loan default rates. Northwest offers degree and certification programs benefitting military students and gives credit for the College Level Examination Program and the DANTES Subject Standardized Tests. Northwest also partners with veterans organizations to host representatives assisting with the filing process for VA benefits. Northwest also offers the Guard Officer Leadership Development or GOLD program to develop citizens into commissioned officers with the Missouri Army National Guard.
