Daviess County accident causes serious injuries

A Coffey, Missouri man is seriously injured after an accident in Daviess County yesterday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 51-year-old Steven Siegel of Gallatin, Missouri was northbound on Missouri Highway 13, 5 miles south of Gallatin, at approximately 5:10 a.m. yesterday. Siegel fell asleep at the wheel, crossed the center line, and struck a car driven by 35-year-old Brandon Bush of Coffey head on. Bush was seriously injured in the accident and taken by life flight to St. Luke's hospital in Kansas City. Bush's passenger, 41-year-old Jason Thomson of Hamilton, Missouri sustained minor injuries in the accident but refused treatment at the scene. The accident was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Daviess County Fire Department.
