The Missouri Highway Patrol recently completed a Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program operation in Buchanan County.
Targeted roads in the project were Interstates 29 and 229 and U-S Highways 59 and 36.
On Monday, troopers paid special attention to violations that contribute to commercial motor vehicle crashes such as speed, following too close, unsafe lane changes, careless driving, impaired driving and distracted driving. According to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, Troop H headquarters, officers issued four citations for commercial vehicle violations and 13 warnings, conducted 13 commercial motor vehicle inspections and made one misdemeanor warrant arrest.
The operation was conducted on Monday between 7am and 3pm.
