Festival of Prayer retreat to be held next weekend

The Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in Clyde, Missouri will host a Festival of Prayer retreat next Friday through Sunday, October 7. Vocation Director Sister Maria Victoria says the retreat will be a way for people to spend time in prayer.

"It is a way for people - especially for those who may be discerning a call to religious life- to spend some time in prayer and to try to figure out where God may be calling them to.  And also to discover different ways of praying as well.  And also to spend time with our community and getting to know us a little bit and our way of life."

Women ages 18 to 40 can attend the event.

"The people who be might be interested in The Festival of Prayer are specifically women who might be drawn to a way to serve in the church.  But not only that, but to learn more about their Catholic faith and perhaps to deepen their relationship with God."
