Event to feature woodworking at the Nodaway County Museum

On Saturday, the Nodaway County Historical Society is bringing presenters in woodworking, weaving, caning, rug making, and a silversmith to the Nodaway County Museum.   Event and Display Planner for the Historical Society,  Cathy Palmer, says the event will feature a variety of different woodworking processes.

"Here we're limiting it to woodworkers and weavers.  Different woodworkers from refinishing trunks, building boxes, wooden barn quilit squares, and caning - like the caning in chair bottoms.  Just a variety of woodworking processes."

Palmer adds the presenters will bring advice to attendees.

"They're people with years of experience.  They're local people that have worked with this for many years.  Some of them have sold things.  Some of them, it's a labor of love for family."

This woodworking event is open to the public and will be held on Saturday, September 22nd at 2 pm at the Nodaway County Historical Society in Maryville.
