MoDOT begins work on guardrail between Interstate 29 and Route 371

Drivers on Interstate 229 in St. Joseph will encounter single-lane traffic in various locations beginning this week.

Today, contractors with the Missouri Department of Transportation will begin work on a section of guardrail both on the roadside and in the median between Interstate 29 and Route 371, or 22nd Street. The work will continue through April and will take place between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Drivers may experience delays while the work is ongoing.

The project is weather dependent and subject to change. For more information on this and other MoDOT projects, call 1-888-Ask-MoDOT or visit the Traveler Information Map at MoDOT.org or on the smartphone application.
