Missouri Academy student honored as one of state's top 100

A student at Northwest Missouri State University's Missouri Academy of Science, Mathematics and Computing has been selected for the 2018 Missouri Scholars 100 program, a statewide recognition of 100 of Missouri's top academic students in the high school graduating class.

Dean of the Missouri Academy Dr. Cleo Samudzi said that student Ruida Zeng was selected for both academic and individual qualifications. Samudzi says the competition was fierce and, although he believed 10-12 students could have qualified, the Academy was allowed to select only one.

Students selected must have a minimum 3.75 GPA, a minimum ACT score of 29 or SAT score of 1600, and be in the top 10% of their class, among other requirements.
