After April 5th, the Northwest tennis courts will add a new name in honor of Bearcat tennis coach Mark Rosewell.  The ceremonial name change to the Frank W. Grube Courts at the Mark Rosewell Tennis Center will take place on April 5th at 1:30 p.m. immediately followed by the women's tennis match against Lindenwood.

Coach Rosewell is a legacy at Northwest Missouri State University.  He has been a tennis coach for 37 years and is known as the most successful national collegiate head tennis coach.  He has had a total of 1,088 career victories with 26 regular season MIAA titles (12 women, 14 men) and nine MIAA tournament titles (8 men, 1 women).  He has also been named MIAA coach of the year 27 times.

Rosewell started coaching at Central Missouri State University.  In 1984, he began coaching at Northwest Missouri State University where he's been ever since.

"Rosey," as those close to him call him, is a mentor to his athletes and is known for his consistency.  Now he is being given a chance to become a permanent part of Northwest with the courts taking his name.
