Jonathan Baker won a football state championship at Maryville High School and a national championship as a Bearcat at Northwest Missouri State University in his hometown. Now the quarterback will continue his career overseas.

Baker announced on Twitter Monday morning that he signed to play for Les Cougars de Saint-Ouen l' Aumône.

Saint-Ouen l' Aumône is located about 20 miles northwest of Paris. Baker flew out to join his team Monday afternoon. The season begins on February 4.

He was also considering teams in Denmark and Germany before choosing to join the Cougars.

During his career at Northwest, Baker threw for 707 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for an additional 260 yards and three touchdowns. He came off the bench in the first half of the 2016 national semifinal game to guide the Bearcats to a come-from-behind victory over Ferris State.

As a Spoofhound, Baker was named Missouri Class 3 1st Team All-State Quarterback after leading Maryville to a 15-0 finish and the state title.
