CollaborACTION and Outcome for Kids Grant recipients were recently announced at the Heartland Foundation's Board of Trustees meeting in St. Joseph.
Two local CollaborACTION grant recipients recognized to recieve funding this year include SSM Health St. Francis Hospital and Northwest Missouri State University. $29,000 was funded to the project for the New SSM Health Preschool & Child Development Care center, which is focused on meeting the growing needs of early childhood development in Nodaway County.
A second award of $4,437 was granted to fund a collaborative project including Northwest Missouri State University, the Northwest Foundation, the Maryville R-II Schol District, the Maryville Educational Foundation, and various artists. The project intends to provide an opportunity for interested students to learn how a passion for the arts can be transformed into a fulfilling career path.
