Slogan contest for pocket park in Maryville

A slogan contest is currently underway in Maryville to be used in conjunction with a design to be placed on a building at the site of proposed new downtown pocket park.

The idea for the slogan project comes from Downtown Maryville Promotions Chairman Sam Mason. Mason says he got the idea after a trip to Kansas City where he saw people getting their picture taken next to a painting located near Crown Center that read "Kansas City, I'm so in Love."

Mason says response to the contest has been great so far with over 40 entries, but adds there's still time for others to suggest slogan ideas. The deadline for entries is Sunday, October 15. Slogans may be entered at www.downtownmaryvillemo.org

Mason says once a winning slogan is identified, a design contest will be held and an artist will be sought to make the design a reality.
