The Pay It Forward Food Pantry on the Northwest Missouri State University campus is celebrating its first anniversary.
A public relations practicum group organized a special event in the J.W. Jones Student Union to raise awareness of the program. Spokesperson Carina Harding says the first year of the pantry was a success and they are looking for more students to take advantage of it in the coming year. In addition, Harding encourages Northwest faculty and staff -- as well as the Maryville community -- to donate items to the campus food pantry.
Anyone wishing to donate items can bring them to the Pay It Forward Pantry located in the University Police building on the west edge of the Northwest campus.
