Northwest offers Global Math Week activities

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Northwest Missouri State University is participating in Global Math Week by hosting activities and contests from Oct. 9-12.

Activities will take place in the second floor study lounge of the Garrett-Strong Science Building between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Activities include building fractals, playing with surface puzzles, match-stick puzzles, and logic games like "Set."

The event will culminate in Garrett-Strong 1850, where Dr. Christine Benson will perform an interactive "Exploding Dots" presentation at 12:50 p.m.

All are welcome to attend.
