Livingston County Library hosts "Murder on the Boardwalk" event

The Livingston County Library will host a special event called "Murder on the Boardwalk" early next month. It's a 1920s murder mystery party which will be held in the Livingston County courtroom on Thursday, Nov. 9.

Participants will be assigned characters and will mingle in an "appetizer hour" setting, sharing and revealing clues and secrets throughout the night, giving the participants a chance to discover the identity of the killer. Adult Services Coordinator Monica Holmer says the event comes on the heels of several other successful themed events. Holmer says the decision to use a 1920s murder mystery theme was based on the popularity of the era.

The event begins at 7 p.m. on November 9 and includes appetizers, coffee, and dessert. Participants are limited to 28 spots. Anyone interested can register by calling the library at 660-646-0547. The suggested minimum age to participate is sixteen.
