Livingston County Library hosts events for children

The Livingston County Library in Chillicothe will be hosting a couple of events this week. Children of all ages and their parents are invited for an evening of Minecrafting on Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30. Childrens Services Coordinator, Jodi Moore, says families are welcome to come for an evening of Minecraft-themed activities.

Moore says Childrens Services will also host a Toddler Stay and Play Day this Saturday. Families are welcome to enjoy this self-guided come-and-go style event. Parents can bring their toddlers, ages 4 and under, to play with a variety toys -- from chalk to blocks -- which have been shown to help children learn. Moore says these types of events are important for toddlers' development.
