Sept. 20, 2017MARYVILLE, Mo. | By: Moore
The Northwest Missouri Solid Waste Management Disctrict announced a new place to dump hazardous waste. The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Site is located at the Nodaway County Maintenance Barn at 1516 East Halsey Street in Maryville. Community and Environmental Planner for the Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments Linda Laderoute says this new site is a permanent location instead of a rotating one.
The new site serves residents of Atchison, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway and Worth Counties. Drop off is free and I.D. is required. Laderoute says it gives residents more opportunity to dispose of various types of hazardous waste.
The first hazardous waste drop-off date is Oct. 7 from 8 a.m. to noon. For more information call 660-582-5121.
