Northwest updates policy for alcohol on University property

The Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents updated the school's alcohol on University property policy and procedure during last week's meeting.

The Board approved a change to the football Gameday policy. Northwest Vice-president of Student Affairs Dr. Matt Baker says the change comes at the request of Aramark, the campus dining provider, which can now sell alcohol at their tailgate area at the Ray Courter Pavilion just west of Bearcat Stadium.

The new policy was reviewed by Northwest's Office of Human Resources, Student Affairs, University Police Department and the school's lawyers before being approved by the Regents last week.
