Northwest Board of Regents approves update to suicide prevention program

During last week's Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents meeting an update was approved for the suicide prevention program education policy.

Vice President of Student Affairs Dr. Matt Baker says suicide is a concern for any college or university and the update to the policy aligns Northwest with a law passed by the Missouri General assembly this past session.

Baker says one of the big mottos over the past few years at University Wellness Center is "It's okay to not be okay."
