Northwest Board of Regents approves BS in Nursing program restart

The Northwest Board of Regents heard a report on the University's fiscal year 2019 State Appropriation Request during Friday's meeting.

Northwest is proposing $37,083,952 for a total operating budget for fiscal year 2019 and an additional $1,083,483 in a 50-50 match for capital improvements on the Northwest campus.

In other action, the Regents approved re-starting the Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Interim Provost Dr. Jamie Hooyman says the program will enable nurses to take classes online to receive their degree. The program also creates two nursing faculty positions in the School of Health Science and Wellness.
