Nodaway Co. Historical Society offers program on local Native American culture
The Nodaway County Historical Society Museum will offer a program about local Native American culture this weekend.
Marla Burnsides will give a presentation on her Native American heritage at the museum Sunday afternoon. Burnsides, who is a member of the Iowa tribe, plans on telling stories handed down to her by her grandmother.
The event is free and open to the public. It is set for 2 p.m. this Sunday, Sept. 10, at the Nodaway County Historical Society Museum at 110 N. Walnut Street, Maryville, Mo. Free will donations will be accepted.
