Aug. 4, 2017ST. JOSEPH, Mo. | By: McKinney
It could get easier to get around in downtown St. Joseph. Earlier this week the city launched the Pony Express Bike Share program -- a free program offering bicycles for use by community members and visitors to St. Joseph.
Health Educator for the City of St. Joseph Health Department Nancy Taylor says the program is modeled after the Green Apple Bike program in Manhattan, Kansas. She adds community support and sponsorship is a key element for the Pony Express Bike Share program. Taylor says riders can pick up a bike from a rack and return it within four hours to any of the seven racks in St. Joseph.
