St. Joseph city officials are preparing to place an extension of their current half-cent sales tax for capital improvements on the ballot in 2018.
Public Information Officer Mary Robertson says prior to placing the extension on the ballot, city staff are requesting input on the type of public projects they would like to see completed in the next capitol improvement program.
Those interested in submitting a public project for consideration can access a form on the city's website or by contacting the city manager's office in St. Joseph. Robertson says the deadline to submit ideas is 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 15.
