Missouri U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill was in northwest Missouri yesterday holding four town hall meetings. One of the topics discussed at the meeting in Bethany was healthcare.
McCaskill says with Congress's failure to repeal and replace Obamacare it's important to continue subsidy payments to insurance companies. McCaskill feels there's an opportunity in the Senate now to work on a bi-partisan healthcare proposal that could reduce the cost of the current system.
McCaskill also met with residents in Cameron, Chillicothe and Trenton.
