Officials with Mosiac Life Care and the Northwest Medical Center Foundation in Albany, Mo., announced yesterday an expansion of the hospital's same day surgery, outpatient and emergency services. The $7.2 million renovation project comes as the two entities continue to work together since their initial announcement in 2014.
Mosiac Life Care is committing $4.5 million to the project with the Northwest Medical Center Foundation providing $3 million. In addition to the facility improvements, another $1 million is earmarked from Mosaic Life Care for new equipment including a CT scanner, and X-ray and telemetry technology at the Albany hospital.
Following completion of the renovation project, Northwest Medical Center will operate under the Mosaic Life Care corporate brand. The project is expected to take approximately two years to complete.
