The Maryville City Council held a budget work session prior to the start of their regular session last night. City Manager Greg McDanel says three major funds were discussed: Mozingo Recreation Park, the general fund, and the capital improvement fund.
McDanel adds the budget also calls for nearly $1.5 million in concrete and asphalt repairs to streets. The council during the regular session heard requests for funding from several community non-profit organizations. McDanel says the council will now review those requests.
The City of Maryville 2018 fiscal year budget year begins Oct. 1.
