The Downtown Maryville Improvment Committee held a meeting on Monday to discuss future plans with the public. This meeting was a forum for community input and to hear different needs of the people.
President of the Downtown Maryville Improvement Committee Matt Gaarder says one project being worked on is a pocket park at the corner of 3rd and Main Streets. Gaarder says another focus of the committee is trying to get businesses to move downtown.
