Chillicothe City Council okays drug dog grant application, 911 training

The Chillicothe City Council discussed a proposed budget for a canine drug dog during last night's meeting. Officer Jeremiah Grider went before the council and was approved to apply for a grant to help pay for the dog and his training. Chillicothe City Clerk Rozanne Frampton says the new 911 system will help locate individuals who use cell phones instead of land lines.

Frampton says training for the new 911 system will happen today. The system will be tested tomorrow and it will be fully operational Thursday.
