St. Joseph receives grant to spay and neuter animals

The City of St. Joseph Health Department Animal Control and Rescue Division received a $20,000 grant from Bob Barker's DJ&T Foundation for spay and neuter funding.

Humane Educator with the City of St. Joseph Health Department Jenna Keyes says this grant will be used to cover the spay and neuter costs for around 100 dogs and 500 cats. Keyes says this grant will allow the Friends of the Animal Shelter to offer dogs and cats at around half the usual adoption price.

You can visit the shelter at 701 Lower Lake Road in St. Joseph, Mo.
