Missouri transportation system discussed at Maryville town hall meeting
Northwest Missouri residents had a chance to give input on ways to increase funding for roads and bridges during a special meeting in Maryville yesterday morning.
The Missouri House Policy Development Caucus held a town hall meeting on the state's transportation system at the Nodaway County Administrative Building. Chairman of the Caucus, southwest Missouri State Representative Jeff Messenger, a Republican from Republic, Missouri says several good ideas came out of the meeting. He added that another idea gaining traction in Missouri is implementing a toll system for the state's Interstate highways.
The town hall meeting in Maryville was the first of eight to be held around the state.
