KCP&L brings back Energize our Environment program

Kansas City Power and Light's Energize Our Environment program is back for another year.

KCP&L is currently looking for interested non-profit organizations to submit innovative environmental projects. District Community Affiars Manager Dan Hegeman says there are several objectives KCP&L hopes to achieve through the continuation of this program and adds that both the community and non-profit organizations can benefit from the grant money provided by working together to impove the environment.

If a member of a non-profit organization would like to submit a project idea, they may do so by filling out an application online by August 4 at kcpl.com/energize.

Approved projects could receive anywhere from $500 to $3,000.
