Tradewind Energy considering Nodaway County for new windfarm

Another firm is considering locating a windfarm in Nodaway County.

Representatives of Tradewind Energy, based in Lenexa, Kansas, met with the Nodaway County Commission last week to discuss its proposal to locate a windfarm in the southwest part of the county.

Nodaway County Economic Development Director Josh McKim said the project will be beneficial because property taxes from the windfarms will go to help schools in the county.

McKim added that the Nodaway County Commission approved the project last week, clearing the way for Tradewind Energy to conduct further research on its viability.
