The Missouri Department of Transportation has had a busy day today as storms from last night have affected many northwest Missouri roads.
The severe weather from last night left many area roadways flooded and unsafe to travel through. Road closures in Nodaway County include:
Route U at the Arkoe Bridge, and Route VV West of Conception.
Multiple county roads experienced mud slides as well as debris.
MoDOT reported more closures, including:
Route B in both directions in Andrew County at White Cloud and the 102 River.
Highway 48 at Rosendale.
Worth County Route J in both directions.
In Gentry County, Route H from highway 136 to Route E; Route F north of State Highway 136 and Route A in both directions.
In Harrison County, US 136 in both directions is closed at Bethany, Route ZZ over Sampson Creek is closed in both directions, and AA over Big Creek is closed in both directions.
In Davies, Route T over Sampson Creek is closed in both directions, Route AA over the Grand River and Sampson Creek is closed, and Route Z is closed.
MoDOT Communication Specialist Marcia Johnson says that MoDOT is always prepared and offers the latest road closures and alternate routes. Johnson also says to always turn around if there is water on the roadway or a barricade set up.
