June 15, 2017CAINSVILLE, Mo. | By: Dieringer
A partial human skull was found last week next to the Thomspon River, north of Cainsville, Missouri in Harrison County.
Harrison County Sheriff Josh Eckerson says the skull may have washed up during high water. He notes that it looks very old and says he plans to take it to the Anthropology Department of the University of Missouri to find out just how old it is. Eckerson added there is no cause of concern for the public and stated that no other remains were found.
A passerby found the skull near the river and delivered it to the Sheriff's office.
