Missouri Highway Patrol promotes Rock Port native

A Rock Port native is among several Missouri Highway Patrol troopers receiving promotions this month.

According to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, Trooper Aaron K. Griffin is being promoted to the rank of corporal and will remain in his present assignment as an instructor at the Patrol's Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City.

Griffin is a 1998 graduate of Rock Port High School and has been with the Patrol since 2004. Previous assignments for Griffin include Troop H, zone 10 in Daviess and DeKalb counties, the Troop A SWAT team from 2008-2015, and as a Troop H marijuana eradication officer from 2009-2011.
