Missouri Conservation Department invites public to visit local prairies

People looking for vacation ideas close to home may want to consider visiting grassland areas managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation. One of those areas is located north of Bethany in Harrison County. Media Specialist Bill Graham says the 300 acre Pawnee Prairie Conservation Area offers alot to see.

Other notable public prairies in Missouri include, Wah' Kon-Tah north of El Dorado Springs, Osage, south of Nevada, and Paint Brush, south of Sedalia.
