The Missouri Senate has been working on Missouri’s Fiscal Year 2018 budget.
The upper chamber and the Missouri House of Representatives will negotiate changes in conference committee before the financial plan is delivered to the governor by 6 p.m. Friday. 12th District State Senator Dan Hegeman, a Republican from Cosby, says the Missouri Senate and House conferees will meet this week to work out their differences. Hegeman adds that a lot of work goes into the budget, starting with the Missouri House of Representatives.
The Fiscal Year 2018 budget goes into effect July 1.
