University Police conduct "active shooter" exercise

Northwest Missouri State University Police are hosting a full-scale exercise to test an active shooter scenario tomorrow. Emergency management coordinator Lt. Mike Ceperely says this event will bring many emergency management personnel to Maryville and adds that some parts of the Northwest campus will be closed for this event, in particular the Valk Building, its parking lot and the Wells Hall parking lot.

This exercise will take place tomorrow from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Individuals not participating in this exercise should avoid these areas.
