Northwest holds commencement ceremonies tonight and tomorrow

Northwest Missouri State University graduation ceremonies will be held tonight and tomorrow at Bearat Arena on the Maryville campus.

Master's and education specialist candidates will go through their commencement ceremony this evening at seven o'clock. Assistant professor of marketing at Northwest, Dr. Tiebing  Shi will address graduates and their families at the event.  

Tomorrow morning commencement ceremonies for bachelor's degree candidates from the Melvin D. and Valorie G. Booth School of Business and Professional Studies, the School of Education, the School of Communication and Mass Media, and the School of Computer Science and Information Systems will be held at ten o'clock.

Commencement ceremonies for bachelor's degree candidates from the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Agricultural Sciences, and School of Health Science and Wellness will be held at two o'clock tomorrow afternoon.

The chief financial officer for the legal firm of Black and Veatch, Karen Daniel, a 1980 graduate of Northwest will address graduates and their families at both of tomorrow's events.   

Nearly 900 students will receive degrees this spring. 233 will receive master's or specialists degrees through the University's graduate school and 661 undergraduate students are set to receive bachelor's degrees.
