Missouri kicks off anti-litter campaign

Two state departments are asking Missourians to aid in outdoor spring cleaning throughout the months of April and May.

The Missouri Department of Conservation and Missouri Department of Transportation are teaming up for the statewide No MOre Trash! anti-litter campaign. The effort is aimed at eliminating litter along roadsides, parks, streams and other public areas. MoDOT Customer Relations Coordinator Linda Wilson-Horn says anyone can participate. Wilson-Horn adds last year's Trash Bash removed several tons of litter from the environment.

The event runs from April 15 to May 15. For more information, visit www.nomoretrash.org.
