The Missouri Department of Transportation has begun work to replace the West Fork Grand River Bridge on Route 46 near Sheridan, Missouri.
MoDOT Resident Engineer Larry Jacobsen says work on the bridge replacement began late last month and will continue through the end of July. The road is expected to be closed to traffic for 30 days in mid- to late-June. Jacobsen says the bridge is more than 90 years old. He also says workers and equipment will be present on the site weekdays from daylight to dusk and adds that motorists should drive cautiously in the work zone.
