Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft announced the Mound City Public Library received a $5,950 Summer Library Grant. The grant money will be used to conduct an eight-week program from May 30 through July 25.
During the summer program, the Mound City Library will provide story times, crafts, activities and special programs that focus on the theme, Build a Better World. Director of Communications with Ashcroft's office, Maura Browning says the Mound City Library is just one of several across the state to receive grant money
Money for the grants come from the Library Services and Technology Act through the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services.
