A Maryville woman is in serious condition after losing control of her vehicle on a snow covered road yesterday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 75-year-old Gertrude DeGase was driving east on US 136, five miles east of Maryville.
DeGase traveled off the right side of the road and hit a metal culvert. The vehicle began to overturn as it hit an embankment and fence before coming to rest on its wheels facing Southwest. Emergency Services took DeGase to Saint Francis Hospital with serious injuries.
She was wearing a seatbelt.
