Maryville Public Safety will hold an event for the whole family this evening.
The public is invited to an open house at the public safety facility from 5 to 7:30 p.m. to enjoy hot dogs and chips. Full building tours will be available and children can explore fire trucks and police cars during the event.
Visitors will be able to ask questions about the upcoming Capitol Improvements Renewal on the April 4 ballot. Maryville Public Safety Director Keith Wood says the primary purpose of the open house is to create informed voters.
The Capitol Improvements ballot issue is to replace a current CIP tax that expires September of 2018. This renewal would extend the tax another twenty years. Woods adds the tax will fund a number of different improvement projects.
The Maryville Public Safety open house takes place this evening from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
